Parents Association: Building Community, Camaraderie, Commitment
The WT Parents Association (PA) welcomes all parents and legal
guardians of students attending Winchester Thurston School; as such you are
automatically a member of the Parents Association.
Volunteer!
It's easy to become involved at any level, and it means new
friendships, a deeper understanding of what is happening at the school, and
ultimately a sense of pride and satisfaction.

Events and Activities
The Parents Association strives to build community,
camaraderie, and commitment by offering opportunities for social, educational,
and financial enrichment and involvement. PA Events Calendar
- Social events,
held across all divisions, promote social interaction among students,
parents, and families, and community spirit throughout the school.
- Educational events
include our Community meetings and Brown Bag Lunchtime Parent
Speaker Series
- Benefits and fundraising initiatives support the school financially. Most of these
initiatives are convenient "Everyday Ways" for you to
give to the school in exchange for items you purchase and use! We
also encourage individual families to participate in the school’s annual
giving campaign by making gifts to the WT Fund. A high level of
parent participation helps our school on so many levels and strengthens
our community. In the 2009-10 academic year, 75% of parents gave to
the WT Fund! Additionally, our successful fundraisers throughout the
year allows Parents Association to make an annual gift to the school as
well.
- Involvement in campus life in Lower School classrooms, the publishing center that
supports the faculty and staff, the book exchange, garden clubs, athletics
events, yearbook, Field Day, Lunch Bunch & Super Scoopers, recycling
initiatives, uniform exchange, performing and visual art presentations,
and much, much more!
